FINALLY!! They have realized shoes DO make the outfit (or the person?)!! And the ladies obsession with shoes is REAL! God Save My Shoes, a documentary written and directed by Julie Benasra in collaboration with Canal Plus (www.canal-plus.fr), Europe’s #1 paid-TV network. This is not just any documentary, the FIRST documentary about women and their intimate relationships with their shoes!
From singer, Fergie to Burlesque dancer (LA/Paris) Dita Von Tesse to everyday Business Woman, Janet Berardi all have something in common…their love affair with shoes. I myself have been an avid shoe addict for about 10+ years and counting (100+shoes and counting!) all strategically placed in my closets, most in boxes with a snap shot of the shoe on the front for easy access or lined on closet floor. Shoes, just the word makes my mouth water! The designers, well that’s a whole other story. ;)
With the my favorite season quickly approaching and the this year’s most coveted shoes standing on deck to strut down the runway and across all our favorite fashion magazines, I’m excited to see what other shoe-a-holics have to say about their addiction to these gorgeously, detailed little pieces of art we like to wear on our feet (some keep in a closet for show.) to Julia Benasra! Two years in production and still working, she has interviewed many, taking the film makers to Milan, New York City, Toronto, Paris and L.A.
